Position Summary

Food Production Operators are responsible for producing acid and acidified sauces and drink mixes according to company formulas. This role includes accurately scaling ingredients, operating production equipment, packaging finished goods, and ensuring all equipment and work areas are properly sanitized throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Set up production equipment according to required specifications
• Operate equipment safely to scale and process raw materials accurately 
• Load kettles and support production processes
• Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials after use 
• Manually package finished products and palletize for storage and distribution 
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment, utensils, and processing lines 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
• Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures
• Report food safety or quality concerns to supervisor

Back-Up Roles and Coverage

• Food Production Operators Support daily manufacturing operations.
• In the absence of a Production Associate, assistance may be requested from management as needed.
• When necessary, a temporary staffing employee may be assigned to fulfill the responsibilities of an absent Production Associate.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to adhering to food safety, quality, and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in culinary or general manufacturing environments.
• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing.

Physical and Technical Requirements

• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.

• Ability to accurately scale and measure ingredients according to production specifications.
• Analyzes data and situations to solve routine and complex problems.
• Applies sound judgment and decision-making skills to resolve issues.
• Maintains professionalism and composure under pressure.

Physical & Sensory Abilities

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk, with frequent lifting and bending.
• Capable of hearing and speaking effectively for communication purposes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow direction and accept guidance from experienced team members.
• Ability to work extended shifts (8+ hours), including scheduled breaks and meal periods.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
