Position Information Working Title: Maintenance Supervisor (Position No. 00257) FLSA Status: Exempt Appointment: Full Time Posting Type: General Public Restricted: Yes (subject to funding availability) Purpose of the Position Provides building maintenance repairs to the Freeman Center and Pope Chapel, ensuring the buildings remain clean and in good working condition. Responsibilities Manage and supervise repair and maintenance tasks in electrical, carpentry, plumbing/steam fitting, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, and bleacher systems. Communicate effectively with others. Create daily schedules and lead housekeeping/maintenance activities. Respond to on‑call emergency repairs as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to manage and supervise repairs in the trades listed above. Effective communication skills. Scheduling and leadership abilities. Computer proficiency. On‑call emergency response capability. Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma. Valid driver’s license. Experience performing building maintenance. Experience supervising employees. Additional Consideration Bachelor’s degree or vocational training in building maintenance trades. Experience working in a university/college setting. Experience purchasing supplies and/or materials. Salary Information Salary starting at $54,827 to $68,534, commensurate with education and experience.
