Probation Supervisor

The probation supervisor performs professional work as a "working supervisor", assisting in all areas of the Probation Department. The probation supervisor works closely with the deputy criminal division director/probation in order to attain the highest level of quality in the daily work processes. The probation supervisor must develop strong working relationships with members of the Judiciary, offices of the State Attorney, Public Defender, Department of Corrections, treatment providers, Clerk of Court employees and other related agencies and the public. Primary responsibilities of a Probation Supervisor include the following: (1) Staff Supervision and Leadership; (2) Case Flow Management; (3) Quality Assurance; and (4) Other Duties as Assigned. The hours for this supervisor position are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm and may be modified at the discretion of the criminal division director or deputy criminal division director based on operational needs.

Key requirements include graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, public administration or a related field. Two years of probation, supervision or criminal case management experience is required. Supervisory experience is preferred. The candidate must have and maintain a valid Class "E" Florida Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record, within (10) days of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain NCIC/FCIC certification is also required. Knowledge of case management practices, court performance measures and operations is necessary.
