Location & Employment City: Chambersburg State/Territory: Pennsylvania Employment Type: Full Time Hourly Requirements Education Requirement: High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred with basic reading and writing skills. Experience Requirement: Completed a Carpenter Apprenticeship or training program with a minimum of two (2) years of construction‑related carpenter experience and/or certified as a Journeyperson Carpenter. Special Skills: Must be able to read specifications and material product data and installation instructions. Travel Requirement: Throughout PA and MD. Position Summary Job title: Finish Carpenter (Pay: $24.00/hr-$31.00/hr, based on experience). The role requires outdoor work year‑round in varied weather conditions. The applicant must communicate and work well with others and adhere to safety protocols. This is a safety sensitive position associated with drug testing and compliance policies as a Federal Contractor. Responsibilities Layout and install casework, cabinets, countertops, and backsplashes; scribe countertops and filler panels to adjoining surfaces. Install hollow metal frames, doors, windows, and all hardware. Install rehung doors and hardware. Install running tri including crown, base, casing, chair rail, shoe molding, windowsills, and aprons. Install deck and stair railing systems. Hang and finish drywall. Install residential flooring including LVT, sheet vinyl, carpet tile, and wood (excluding rolled carpet). Install ceramic floor and wall tile. Install suspended ceiling grid and acoustical ceiling tile. Paint walls, trim, doors, and all other surfaces. Install wire shelving, toilet accessories, white boards, signage, ADA handrails, wall protection, and other miscellaneous specialties. Install residential appliances including water and electrical hookups (no gas connections). Physical Requirements Lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout the shift. Continuous standing and walking required throughout the scheduled shift. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl. Ability to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands. Reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height; work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces.
