Founded in 1986 after the Schafer family donated their Medora operations to establish the Foundation, TRMF continues to connect people to Medora for positive, life-changing experiences. Today, TRMF is supported by more than 90 full-time employees, hundreds of seasonal employees, and over 650 volunteers.

Job Overview
The High-Volume Seasonal Recruiter is responsible for leading and executing recruitment efforts for 400+ seasonal positions supporting TRMF’s May through September operating season. This position develops seasonal recruiting strategies, sources and screens candidates, partners with hiring managers, manages applicant tracking system activity, supports international hiring processes, and helps ensure a timely, organized, and positive candidate experience.
This role is central to building the seasonal workforce needed to support TRMF’s hospitality, entertainment, guest service, retail, food and beverage, lodging, maintenance, and operational needs. The recruiter must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and respond quickly to changing staffing priorities throughout the recruiting and operating cycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Seasonal Recruiting Strategy
Develop and execute high-volume seasonal recruitment strategies to fill 400+ seasonal positions within established timelines.
Partner with hiring managers and department leaders to identify staffing needs, hiring timelines, position requirements, and priority openings.
Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future seasonal hiring needs.
Recommend recruiting strategies, advertising channels, and sourcing approaches based on staffing needs, applicant flow, and hiring trends.
Represent TRMF at career fairs, college recruiting events, community hiring events, networking events, and other recruitment opportunities.
Full-Cycle Recruiting and Candidate Experience
Coordinate the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offers, pre-employment steps, onboarding coordination, and candidate communication.
Conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews to assess candidate qualifications, availability, position fit, and alignment with seasonal operational needs.
Maintain timely and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Ensure candidates receive clear information regarding position expectations, seasonal dates, start dates, housing options, onboarding requirements, and employment eligibility requirements.
Collaborate with hiring managers and Human Resources staff during the offer process, including start dates, employment terms, compensation details, incentives, and other relevant hiring information.
ATS, Reporting, and Recruiting Metrics
Manage day-to-day applicant tracking system activity to ensure accurate candidate records, hiring status updates, requisition information, and reporting.
Track and report key recruitment metrics, such as applicant volume, time-to-fill, offer acceptance, hiring progress, sourcing effectiveness, and new hire turnover trends.
Provide regular recruiting updates to the Human Resources Director, hiring managers, and other department leaders.
Use recruiting data to identify staffing risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve the hiring process.
International Hiring and Compliance
Support recruitment and coordination for international seasonal workers, including H-2B and Summer Work Travel Program (J-1) candidates.
Maintain effective working relationships with international hiring agencies and program partners.
Interview international applicants, assess qualifications and availability, and provide clear information regarding applicable hiring and visa-related processes.
Coordinate timely documentation with agencies and internal stakeholders to support employment eligibility and program compliance.
Maintain accurate records related to international hiring activities and ensure required documentation is organized and complete.
Work with agencies and Human Resources staff to support compliance with applicable Department of Labor, Department of State, federal, state, and local employment requirements.
Housing, Onboarding, and Workforce Coordination
Collaborate with the Housing Manager regarding seasonal housing availability, candidate housing needs, placement considerations, and arrival timelines.
Coordinate with Human Resources, hiring managers, and other internal partners to support efficient onboarding and seasonal workforce readiness.
Help ensure candidates understand housing expectations, reporting dates, required documents, and pre-employment steps.
Support a smooth transition from accepted offer to arrival, onboarding, and department placement.
Compliance, Process Improvement, and Employer Brand
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and TRMF policies throughout the recruitment process.
Maintain knowledge of recruitment trends, employment law updates, seasonal workforce practices, and emerging recruiting technologies.
Participate in employer branding initiatives that promote TRMF as an employer of choice for seasonal and full-time candidates.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, hiring manager communication, and seasonal workforce planning.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with candidates, hiring managers, agencies, and internal partners.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with candidates, hiring managers, department leaders, and external recruitment partners.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of candidates, requisitions, and deadlines.
Ability to prioritize competing needs and adjust recruiting strategies based on changing operational demands.
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment.
Working knowledge of employment-related laws, recruitment practices, and hiring compliance requirements.
Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for a wide range of seasonal roles.
Experience using job boards, social media, professional networks, career fairs, and other sourcing tools to attract candidates.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use recruiting data to inform decisions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems, with the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, hospitality, or a related field required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
At least three years of experience managing full-cycle recruitment and hiring processes preferred.
Experience with high-volume, seasonal, hospitality, tourism, nonprofit, or event-based recruiting strongly preferred.
Experience using applicant tracking systems required.
Human resources experience preferred.
Hospitality or tourism industry experience preferred.
Experience with H-2B and Summer Work Travel Program (J-1) hiring preferred.
SHRM-CP or other relevant HR certification a plus.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work Environment
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires frequent computer use, phone and video communication, candidate interaction, and collaboration with internal and external partners. The position may also require attendance at career fairs, recruiting events, college visits, community events, and other off-site recruitment activities.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work, and Travel
This is a full-time position. The seasonal operating season is April through September, with high-volume recruiting preparation, travel, candidate communication, onboarding coordination, and workforce planning occurring before, during, and after the operating season.
The employee must be able to work additional hours during peak recruiting, onboarding, and operating periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Recruiting travel is generally expected September through March and may include overnight travel to career fairs, college recruiting events, community hiring events, agency meetings, and workforce development events. Travel may also be required at other times based on business needs.
