Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse - Birthing Center

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• 1+ years minimum of current LDRP experience (preferred 400+ deliveries a year)
• Active American Health Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with C-Sections, epidurals, and venipuncture proficiency (preferred)
• Active Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification (highly preferred)
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (highly preferred)
• Active Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support (STABLE) certification (highly preferred)
• Skills checklist specific to discipline (within the last year)
• 2 supervisory references from last 2 years of employment

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess the health status of individuals and groups and establish nursing diagnoses.
• Identify and plan goals to meet health care needs, prescribing nursing interventions.
• Implement the plan of care and evaluate and document responses to interventions.
• Provide care to obstetrical patients, clean female surgical cases, and pediatric patients during the Perinatal period.
• Assist with Cesarean births and ensure postpartum recovery in accordance with established protocols.
• Incorporate family-centered care into all aspects of nursing practice.
