Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Boarder RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts including Days, Evenings, Nights, Holidays, On Call, Callback, and Weekends as needed Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience License: Client RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred but not required Must-Have: Telemetry experience required Description: This is a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department that manages over 100,000 visits a year. It is one of the busiest trauma centers in the country and the only Level I trauma hospital in the area. The nurses will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses. These nurses will focus solely on the care of med/surg boarder patients within the Emergency Department. The patient ratio is 1:5, with assistive personnel available. No prior emergency department experience is required.
