Job Title: Lead Restoration Technician - Fire, Mold & Water Damage


Job Summary:
The Lead Restoration Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, mold, and storm damage. This position leads field crews, ensures work is completed safely and efficiently, maintains quality standards, and serves as the primary point of contact on job sites.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise restoration technicians on mitigation and reconstruction projects.
• Perform water extraction, demolition, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleanup, and structural drying activities.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment, air movers, dehumidifiers, and containment systems.
• Assess job sites and document damages with photos, moisture readings, and daily progress reports and disperse to responsible department leads.
• Ensure all work is completed according to company procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to restoration technicians and new team members.
• Communicate project updates, timelines, and issues to project managers, estimators, and customers.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper use and care of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate job site activities to keep projects on schedule and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fire, water, mold, and restoration services required.
• Strong knowledge of mitigation procedures, demolition, structural drying, and remediation techniques.
• Relevant industry certifications (IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT) preferred. Or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Leadership and crew management experience preferred.
• Ability to read scopes of work and follow project plans.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.

Heather currently resides in Brandon, Mississippi, with her husband and their three children. A dedicated sports mom, she spends much of her free time on the sidelines of baseball and softball fields, cheering on her kids and embracing the strong sense of community that comes with it.

In January 2020, Heather joined PSG, bringing with her a lifetime of insight into the staffing industry. Having grown up in a family deeply immersed in staffing, she came to the role with an intuitive understanding of how to match people with opportunity-and businesses with talent.
