Job Title: Graduate Assistant for Career Services/Career Planning and Development (Beg Fall 2026) Location: UWG Recruiting Location Regular/Temporary: Temporary Full/Part Time: Part-Time Job ID: 298261 Job Summary Key responsibilities for this position include the following: 50% - Provide direct student support through walk-in and/or scheduled appointments, assisting with career-related needs such as resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, job and internship search strategies, and document reviews within SkillsFirst. Collaborate with professional staff to deliver effective, inclusive, and outcome-driven career guidance. 25% - Assist with departmental outreach and engagement efforts, including tabling events, classroom presentations, and career readiness programming to increase student awareness and utilization of career services. Provide logistical and operational support for the Wolves Ready for Work program and related initiatives that promote student career readiness and workforce preparedness. 15% - Perform administrative functions to support office operations, including data tracking, resource development, event logistics, and assistance with marketing and communication efforts related to departmental programming and student outreach. 10% - Support the coordination and implementation of the Wolves Mentoring Program, assisting with communication and programming designed to foster connection, retention, and professional growth among participants. Required Qualifications Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions. Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing. Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills Experience working collaboratively with diverse student populations, peers, and professional staff Strong organizational skills and attention to detail The ability to balance direct student support, administrative responsibilities, and program support Licensed driver Proposed Salary A monthly stipend of $1000.00 per month A tuition waiver, reducing your semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
