Shipping Desk Administrator

ATI Racing is a family-owned and operated producer of American-made parts for high-performance automobiles – everything from street rods to NASCAR – and we’re looking for an energetic, full-time individual to support our shipping operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who has good computer skills and experience with warehouse operations especially shipping and inventory.

We are looking for a detail-oriented  Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage our outbound shipping operations. In this role, you will act as the crucial link between our operations and freight carriers. You will be responsible for evaluating shipping costs, inputting data into shipping software, selecting the best vendors, scheduling pickups, and ensuring all outbound documentation is accurate and compliant.

Note: This is an administrative and operational desk role focused on logistics software, vendor communication, and shipment coordination, rather than heavy warehouse labor.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrier Selection & Optimization: Analyze freight rates, delivery times, and service levels to determine the most cost-effective and reliable shipping vendor for each outbound shipment.

• Scheduling & Dispatch: Coordinate pickup times with freight carriers, couriers, and LTL/FTL trucking companies to ensure timely departures.

• Documentation & Compliance: Generate bills of lading (BOL), shipping labels, commercial invoices, and export/import compliance paperwork.

• Tracking & Troubleshooting: Monitor active shipments in transit, proactively resolve delivery delays, and communicate status updates to internal teams and customers.

• Process Improvement: Maintain accurate shipping logs, audit freight invoices for accuracy, and assist in identifying ways to reduce shipping costs.

Experience:

• Experience using computer programs including UPS WorldShip, Fed Ex, Microsoft Office, Excel and other related programs to schedule shipments, ticket orders, picking, packing, and ensuring proper postage and shipping requirements are followed.
• Prior experience with automotive parts is a plus.
• Prior experience operating a forklift is a plus.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks
• Problem solving skills with a mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop, and/or reach. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Good Computer Skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Process orders for shipping with extreme sense of detail
• Work with production floor & sales to manage orders and expedite when necessary

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Position requires standing and mobility 90% of the day.
• Must have reliable weekday transportation, this position requires punctuality and dependable job attendance.
• Must have a valid US driver's license

Work Schedule: Mon-Friday. NO evenings/nights. NO weekends.
