Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 6 months Shift: 7p-7a Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring or above, STABLE for nursery Must-Have: Prefer nurse with at least one year experience in general OB Labor and Delivery and Nursery care Description: This position requires floating to the Nursery and Post-Partum as needed. The unit typically has a low volume of deliveries, with fewer than 15 deliveries per month. The Labor and Delivery unit consists of 3 L&D beds, 9 OB beds, and 14 Nursery beds, along with 3 intermediate nursery beds. Patient ratios will adhere to established guidelines. Staff will utilize general OB unit equipment and electronic health record systems during their shifts. The patient population will primarily consist of individuals requiring Level 3 OB care. Common diagnoses and treatments include OB delivery and nursery care. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
