Registered Nurse - Critical Care Stepdown

Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

This is a 13-week contract position.

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down critical care setting. This role involves frequent interaction with a diverse patient population recovering from complex medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer cardiac drips and monitor patient responses.
• Assist in the care of patients with chest tubes and other critical interventions.
• Perform assessments and monitor vitals for patients recovering from heart surgery, strokes, and respiratory failures.
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps and manage occasional epidural pumps as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience with cardiac drips and post-operative care preferred.
• Experience in stepdown or progressive care units is advantageous.
