TAX SENIORDynamic CPA firm in Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking a skilled Senior Tax Specialist to join their team. The Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely tax returns for a variety of clients. Remote work options are available, with occasional in-office presence required during peak seasons.Duties:Conduct technical tax preparation and review for a diverse client base, handling complex tax situations.Take ownership of tax returns and provide guidance to tax preparers when necessary.Demonstrate expertise in advanced tax concepts to offer valuable client advice.Manage client interactions, ensuring timely completion of all tasks within budget constraints.Oversee tax research projects and government audits, coordinating efficient outcomes.Supervise and train tax staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.Stay informed about tax team qualifications, assigning tasks appropriately based on skill levels.Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to junior tax team members for skill development.Supervisory Responsibilities:Develop, coach, and mentor Semi-seniors and Staff accountants to enhance their skills.Participate in performance reviews and evaluations within the Tax Department.Qualifications:Minimum of three years' experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.Strong background in preparing C + S corps, partnerships, and individual tax returns.Previous supervisory experience overseeing tax preparers is preferred.Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree in taxation is a plus.CPA license is preferred to demonstrate professional expertise.
