Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during critical childbirth moments.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for laboring mothers and neonates.
  
  
• 
  Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately within healthcare records.
  
  
• 
  Delegate tasks to assistive team members, including CNAs and support staff, based on their scope of practice.
  
  
• 
  Maintain adherence to hospital policies, clinical standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
  
  
• 
  Participate actively in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
  
  
• 
  Float within the system as needed, providing supportive care, observational assistance, or basic clinical tasks.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a valid Washington State RN license; license application submitted or active license preferred.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Certification in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical records, including Epic system experience.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to work 3x12 night shifts and float as required.
  
  
• 
  Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
