Make a meaningful impact teaching and guiding the next generation of learners as a Special Education (ESE) Teacher for 4th graders in a dynamic elementary school environment in the Satellite Beach/Palm Bay area. This contract position offers an opportunity to support a close-knit group of 15 students with diverse needs, helping them flourish academically and personally.
Your responsibilities will include designing individualized lesson plans, collaborating with general education teachers, and implementing targeted interventions to meet each student’s unique learning requirements. Using your expertise and commitment, you will foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that empowers every learner.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida ESE Teacher certification/license (required)
- Previous experience in a special education classroom preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for working with elementary-age students, fostering growth and confidence
- Strong classroom management abilities
Role Highlights:
- Serve as the primary ESE teacher for a 4th-grade classroom, managing a caseload of 15 students
- Plan, instruct, and evaluate curriculum adaptations to suit diverse learning needs and IEPs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support compliance with state and federal regulations
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote academic success and social development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each child receives comprehensive support
