Bill Back Specialist

:

Primary resource assigned to maintain and administer vendor marketing accruals and rebates. Perform accounting functions to invoice and collect funds from vendors related to promotional programs. Set up and maintain promotional, marketing and bill back programs for customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for tracking vendor rebates and ensuring programs are set up properly to maximize income. Prepares vendor billings and maintains vendor receivables and ensures follow-up on uncollected balances. Maintain open communications with Purchasing Department regarding vendor promotions, deals and accruals Maintain relationships with Brokers and Vendors. Maintain reporting of vendor accrual and growth programs via internal database Compiles daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports as required by management, marketing, sales, or customers Create and track sample invoices Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Assists in monthly closings. Assists with financial statement preparation as necessary. Assists at Food Shows as necessary. Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards. Know, understand, and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Promote and maintain company goodwill in all areas. Adhere to all applicable Federal, State, County and Local regulations. Assist other associates and perform other tasks as required by the Office Manager or Director of Accounting.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance strongly preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent, Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines. Advanced data analysis skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is required Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.

Must be able to work at a desk for extended periods of time
