HVAC Technician

Job Overview Trane Technologies, a leading provider of commercial HVAC and climate solutions, invites qualified candidates to join our Rental Service team as a Field Technician. This on‑site role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and startup of HVAC systems in a diverse commercial market. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and service requests at customer locations or the Rental Services depot. Test, start‑up, commission, and service HVAC equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications. Coordinate with team leaders and customers to assess project requirements, review building layouts and forecast issues. Maintain safety, security and accurate record‑keeping of company assets. Adapt to overtime, travel, and occasional overnight stays as required by business. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience, or a combination of technical school education and experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld computers (smartphone, iPad). Operating knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layout. EPA certification preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer). Compensation Hourly base pay range: $23.80 – $43.85. Incentive and commission are not offered.
