Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role supports students with multiple needs, including severe/profound disabilities and autism, many of whom are nonverbal or have limited language.

Key Details:

• Full-time position for the full school year

• Middle School

• Caseload of 8-9 students

• Students with diverse, intensive needs (including autism, nonverbal/limited language)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to student needs

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers

• Foster a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License (LBS-1)

• Experience with self-contained classrooms and students with significant needs preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience with autism and nonverbal learners is a plus
