Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU

• Provide individualized nursing care for critically ill patients
• Utilize critical thinking skills for patient assessment and response
• Interpret and respond to hemodynamic monitoring results
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team; supervise unlicensed personnel
• Effectively use technology to enhance patient care
• Oversee students during their training when assigned

Requirements of the RN - ICU

• Minimum 2 years CCU experience
• SD RN or multistate compact RN License
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• CCRN and/or TNCC certifications are a plus
