- Variety & Ownership! Gain hands-on exposure to financial reporting, general ledger accounting, investments, audits, and process improvements.
- Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close and prepare financial reports.
- Analyze financial activity, investigate discrepancies, and perform budget-to-actual analysis.
- Support fund accounting, contributions, investments, endowments, and fixed assets.
- Prepare audit schedules and documentation and assist with annual audits and Form 990 reporting.
- Partner with accounting leadership to strengthen internal controls and improve processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with significant accounting coursework.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and annual audit experience.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Preferred Not Required: Nonprofit, education, higher education, or fund accounting experience. CPA, CPA candidate, or CMA.
