Project Cost Analyst

Required Skills & Experience
• \t2+ years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, procurement, construction accounting, or budgeting/forecasting in the construction industry \n•\tStrong experience with: \n•\tCost tracking and variance analysis\n•\tBudgeting and forecasting\n•\tProcurement and vendor management\n•\tInventory management\n•\tAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, reporting, dashboards). \n•\tExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar. \n•\tUnderstanding of construction materials, purchasing processes, and project budgets. \n•\tAbility to collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, finance, operations, and vendors.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• \tPower BI or Tableau \n•\tProcess improvement/Lean experience \n•\tLarge-scale construction, manufacturing, or data center project experience \n•\tCommodity pricing or supply chain analysis experience

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Materials cost analyst. Candidates will be they're heavily focused on material costs, procurement spending, inventory, pricing trends, and vendor performance. Candidates will be expected to compare pricing of varies materials and be able to determine which is the most efficient for the project. \n•\tTrack and analyze construction material costs against project budgets. \n•\tMonitor purchase orders, invoices, and vendor pricing to identify cost variances and savings opportunities. \n•\tForecast material spending based on project schedules and demand. \n•\tCollaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and vendors to support budgeting and purchasing decisions. \n•\tPrepare cost reports, dashboards, and budget-vs.-actual analyses for leadership. \n•\tTrack inventory levels and material usage to minimize waste and ensure project needs are met. \n•\tIdentify cost trends and recommend process improvements to improve project profitability.\n\nPR- 30-35/hr
