We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist for a locum tenens opportunity near Tonto Basin, AZ. • Primary Duties :
  • Conduct patient consultations, both new and follow-up, within an outpatient setting.
  • Manage inbox and review results for physicians who are not in the office.
  • Maintain a patient volume of 10-16 patients per day, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
  • Utilize telehealth services in addition to on-site coverage to expand patient access and care flexibility.

• Schedule :
  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) preferred, but part-time availability is also welcome.
  • Regular hours from Monday to Friday, with no weekend requirements, offering a balanced work-life schedule.
• Support :
  • A 1:1 Medical Assistant to Physician ratio provides robust support in daily operations.
  • Additional support from RNs, front desk staff, and a practice manager ensures a smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
• Environment :
  • The position is entirely outpatient, with no required procedures or thyroid biopsies.
  • Orientation includes comprehensive EMR training to get you acclimated with the Cerner system.
  • Telehealth options are available, allowing for a hybrid approach to patient care.

• Licensure :
  • Must have an active Arizona medical license.
• Certifications :
  • DEA and BLS certifications are required.
  • Board Certification in Endocrinology is mandatory to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Experience :
  • Prior experience in an outpatient setting with a focus on consults and follow-up care is preferred.

• Reason for Coverage :
  • The need for coverage arose due to the departure of a physician in May and another provider going on leave.
• Technology :
  • The practice uses Cerner for EMR, and orientation will include training on this system to ensure seamless integration into the workflow.
