Key Responsibilities of the RN – Interventional Radiology

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor them throughout treatment and recovery
• Administer medications, IV sedation, and contrast agents as required
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies when necessary
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Complete accurate patient documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements of the RN – Interventional Radiology

• Active RN license in Missouri (or compact state license if applicable)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology required
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
