Job Description As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Kansas City, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring access, screening visitors and personnel, and communicating professionally with diverse stakeholders. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $19.17 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon02:30 PM - 10:30 PMWed10:30 PM - 06:30 AMThur10:30 PM - 06:30 AMFri10:30 PM - 06:30 AMSat02:30 PM - 10:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; verify identification, confirm authorization, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations. Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership and or Allied Universal supervision. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the business perimeter; document observations, incidents, and completed activities in required reports. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
