Corporate ControllerBeam Global, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions for energy storage and security, electrification of mobility, and smart city infrastructure, is seeking a Corporate Controller. Beam Global invents and manufactures in San Diego, CA; Yuma, AZ; Chicago, IL; Belgrade and Kraljevo, Serbia; and has an office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Corporate Controller is a high-impact leadership role requiring a "player-coach" who can both execute SEC filings and mentor a small, dedicated team. This leader ensures the integrity of financial data while directly executing consolidation and reporting tasks in our San Diego headquarters. This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position. The position will report to the CFO.Responsibilities:Lead the entire external reporting process, including accurate and timely filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and annual proxy statements.Manage the manual and automated consolidation of financial statements for global entities across multiple currencies, ensuring accurate foreign currency accounting.Maintain a robust control environment in accordance with SOX. Design, implement, and test internal controls over financial reporting.Directly perform some account reconciliations, variance analysis, and year-end close activities rather than solely delegating to a team.Lead system enhancements and workflow automation within NetSuite to support multi-entity growth and reporting efficiency.Serve as the primary point of contact and lead for external auditors and prepare necessary workpapers and schedules.Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals. Provide active coaching, review their work for accuracy, and provide active involvement in their day-to-day tasks.Partner directly with Sales, Production, and Engineering departments. Translate financial data into actionable insights for these teams, helping to optimize production costs and evaluate sales contracts for revenue recognition.Qualifications:10 to 15+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant time spent in a public company environment. Must have experience with SEC reporting. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Bachelor's degree required in accounting or finance. CPA license preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Hands-on experience with large ERP accounting software, preferred NetSuite.A "no task is too small" attitude combined with executive-level presence.Beam Global offers a competitive salary (range $175k to $210k based on experience), bonus and benefits (medical, dental, vision, Life, LTD, STD) package including three weeks' vacation, ten holidays and an equity incentive plan.
