Radiology Tech (CRMH)- days (4 10's)

Position Overview Radiology Technologist (CRMH) – Days (4 10's). This is an open position. Employment Status: Full time. Shift: Day/Evening (United States of America). Facility: 1906 Belleview Ave SE - Roanoke. Requisition Number: R159079. Responsibilities Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assess patients prior to, during, and after procedures according to CMC Guidelines. Evaluate and position patients to obtain quality images with professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience, and safety. Perform IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and/or other procedures as required. Observe patients for adverse reactions and assist in aid when necessary. Operate highly specialized fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment including CR (Computed Radiography) and DR (Digital Radiography). May use PACS (Picture Archive Communication System). Assist patients with scheduling, registration, file management, and utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Train students and staff as assigned. Participate as part of the team to provide specific patient care functions and assure informed consent and patient education. Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, other hospital staff, and patients. Cross-train basic laboratory phlebotomy and operate laboratory waive testing equipment (site specific) according to CLIA regulations. Prepare patients for examination and explain procedures. Evaluate lab results, patient history, and relay to radiologist or procedure performing physician. Record and maintain all procedural data. Perform imaging procedures in the Emergency Department, Inpatient and Operating Room settings, provide trauma care, IV contrast injections and other skills as required. Assist physician during radiological or sterile diagnostic procedures. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology required. Experience: none required. ARRT registry or registry eligible licensure, certification, and/or registration. AHA BLS-HCP required. Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
