Customer Service Specialist (Supply Technician)

Overview The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full‑Time Customer Service Specialist (NJ-2005-02) to work at the 45th LRS/LGRMCC on Patrick SFB in Cocoa Beach, FL. Responsibilities Define required work tasks and advise requesting customers on fulfilling their supply requirements. Research different databases and publications to extract data. Research problems surfaced by customers and resolve issues. Process and scan source documents into ILS‑S. Manage bench stock accounts. Process MICAP requests. Manage supply discrepancy items and perform tracing actions on lost shipments. Input issue requests and obtain logistics data on national stock numbers, utilizing such supply systems as FLITES, WebFLIS, and FEDLOG. Salary Range $34,799–$62,057 (equivalent to GS 5‑8, without locality). Requirements U.S. citizenship. Must be able to obtain & maintain a Secret Security clearance. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. Education requirements: Knowledge of governing supply regulations and functions, procedures, instructions, operations, program requirements, and work methods. Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems. Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies. Employee must operate a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required for this position. Employee may be required to participate in contingency situations, both real world and exercise. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. May be required to complete Nuclear War Reserve Material (NWRM) Fundamental training course annually or as required per AFU 20‑110, Chapter 9. Performs additional duties as required.
