Position Summary

Gregory Packaging is building a new direct-to-consumer and marketplace e-commerce business, backed by the resources and stability of an established company. As our first dedicated E-Commerce Specialist, you will build and scale the operational foundation of this growing business. You will own operations from end to end, create efficient processes, and directly shape the business as it grows.

This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who thrives in a changing environment, enjoys building structure from scratch, and wants to grow into a management role as the business expands.

Responsibilities

Order Management and Fulfillment

· Monitor and process daily orders in Shopify and Amazon Seller Central, resolving holds, exceptions, address issues, and flagged or fraudulent orders.

· Serve as the main contact with our warehouse and future third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Send orders, confirm shipments, and make sure fulfillment partners meet service standards.

· Lead the move from in-house fulfillment to a 3PL provider, including defining requirements, coordinating onboarding and system setup, and managing the switchover without disrupting customers.

· Reconcile inventory across the warehouse or 3PL, Shopify, and Amazon, and resolve discrepancies early to prevent overselling and stockouts.

· Manage inbound replenishment to the warehouse or 3PL and to Amazon and Walmart fulfillment centers, including shipment planning, labeling, and receiving confirmation.

· Schedule pickups and deliveries for large wholesale and business-to-business (B2B) orders with our plants, carriers, and customers.

· Track shipping costs, carrier performance, and delivery exceptions, and file claims for lost, damaged, or delayed shipments.

· Process returns from authorization through final disposition and refund.

Customer Experience

· Own all customer communication across email, marketplace messaging, and other support channels, with timely and professional responses.

· Resolve order inquiries, shipping issues, product questions, returns, refunds, and complaints, using sound judgment on exceptions.

· Onboard new wholesale and B2B accounts, including customer setup, vendor registration, credit applications, and payment terms.

· Monitor and respond to product reviews, seller feedback, and marketplace performance notices.

· Escalate recurring product or quality issues with clear documentation so they can be corrected.

· Create customer support resources, including response templates, FAQs, policy language, and a help center as volume grows.

Sales Channels and Listings

· Maintain product listings, content, pricing, and inventory availability across all active sales channels.

· Support the launch of new online sales channels, including setup, onboarding, and connection to existing systems.

Finance and Reporting

· Reconcile marketplace and payment processor payouts against recorded sales, including fees, refunds, chargebacks, and reserves.

· Respond to and document payment disputes and chargebacks with supporting evidence.

· Work with the finance team on wholesale and B2B invoicing and follow up on past-due accounts.

· Build reports on orders, fulfillment performance, returns, customer support volume, and sales channel results.

Qualifications

Required

· 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce operations, order management, fulfillment, or customer service, ideally in consumer packaged goods, food, or beverage.

· Hands-on experience working directly in Shopify and Amazon Seller Central.

· Experience coordinating with warehouses, 3PL providers, or carriers, with a proactive approach to solving problems.

· Strong reconciliation skills, including the ability to match marketplace payout reports to recorded sales and explain differences.

· Excellent written communication skills for professional customer interactions.

· High attention to detail and accuracy, especially as order volume grows.

· Self-directed and resourceful, with the ability to build and own processes independently.

Preferred

· Experience onboarding or integrating a 3PL provider.

· Experience with marketplaces beyond Amazon, such as Walmart, Faire, or specialty retail platforms.

· Background in sports, athletics, hospitality, or club environments.

· Familiarity with electronic data interchange (EDI), GS1 product data standards, or retailer and distributor onboarding requirements.

· Working knowledge of email and text message marketing platforms, such as Klaviyo.
