Maxar Space Systems is hiring a Digital Finance Analyst. This role can be based remotely in the US. Based on the requirements of senior management and through the use of advanced digital tools, this position will execute digital finance and accounting transformation initiatives. Responsibilities can include but are not limited to: - Support an end-to-end understanding of accounting, analytical, and administrative processes
- Gather requirements with accounting and finance teams to develop models and automate processes for accounting operations, reporting and compliance, forecasting and analytical platforms
- Support Accounting and FP&A teams in improving processes to deliver DCAA compliant reporting data in a compliant environment
- Design and build digital solutions to improve department-wide administrative process efficiencies
- Implement process controls such as the review and maintenance of source-system master data
- Maintain ongoing schedule and execute reports for automated processes
- Cleanse and maintain controlled datasets
- Support the implementation of digital solutions
- Support ongoing data operations and reporting across the software platform (ERP, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.)
- Critically review reports and logs received for inconsistencies and/or errors
- Provide and receive support to/from other Accounting / Finance team members, as needed.
- Gather and provide audit support
- Execute procedures in accordance with company policies
- Develop, update, and maintain compliance documentation covering all in-scope systems and supporting technology.
- Assist in the implementation of new or enhanced processes; make recommendations for process efficiencies.
Minimum Requirements: - U.S. citizenship or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree, four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
- Organized, detail oriented individual with ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy of information
- Tableau and/or Alteryx experienced user and proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Professional experience in data analysis using Excel, and/or SQL
- Prioritizes workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Should have the ability to act and operate independently in support of team objectives with minimal daily direction from supervisor.
- Experience working in medium or large ERP systems preferred (not required)
- Creativity in solving complex problems
- Active team player and works well under pressure
- Demonstrated independence and self-motivation to solve problems and work productively
- Analytical skills, combined with business judgment and proven ability to clearly and concisely communicate with senior management level personnel
- Adherence to concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self-control, and flexibility to get work done
- Integrity with confidential information
#LI-TB1 Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $57,000.00 - $95,000.00 annually. Maxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar customers and third parties.
