Associate Attorney

Our small, women-owned general civil litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, exposure to a diverse caseload, and develop strong advocacy skills. The ideal candidate will strive to build strong client relationships alongside experienced attorneys who value collaboration and work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file high-quality pleadings, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and pretrial memoranda.
• Conduct legal research on a variety of issues, prepare memoranda, and analyze case strategy.
• Prepare for and represent clients in hearings and mediations throughout Eastern Massachusetts.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide support during trials.
• Participate in client intake and consultations.
• Provide compassionate, timely communication and support to clients.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution while meeting all relevant timelines.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Massachusetts, in good standing with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers
• Legal work experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• A practical, creative approach to client advocacy
• Professionalism and ability to build client rapport
• Experience in preparing and drafting legal pleadings
• Strong interest in representing clients in court
