NGM - Underground Mining Engineer II or III

The successful candidate will be safety driven, technically proficient and capable of working with and communicating effectively with fellow engineers, operations personnel, surveyors, production geologists, mill metallurgists, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities:Production reporting of mine physicals, track site KPIs and evaluate opportunities for improvementAccountable for the mine design and mine planning, both short and long range.Complete regular audits of site to ensure compliance to standards and look for opportunities to improve efficienciesWork closely with geology/exploration to plan and complete exploration and in-fill drilling in advance of mining, and complete mine-to-mill reconciliationResponsible for the design and as-built layouts of all mine development and services for the UndergroundCreation and monitoring of site forecasts and budgetsProvide focused review of site deliverables to ensure completeness, clarity and accuracy, preparation of presentations and reports as requiredCoordinate with mine operations to ensure plan compliance and to minimize disruptionsSpecific Mine Planning responsibilities depending on your role within the Mine Planning Team can be rolling Daily/1 week/6 weeks Plans, or 2-year Plans, or Life of Mine PlanDuties in short-range planning, mid-range planning, long-range planning, dump planning, road design, dispatch engineering, drill & blast engineering, reclamation design, permitting engineering support, capital project justification and oversight and/or other engineering projects as requiredMine Plans and other engineering product must be technically correct, completed on time and effectively communicated to hourly crews, foremen, operations superintendents, mill metallurgists, engineering superintendents, managers and the general managerComplete Mine Plans to facilitate safely meeting metal recovered goals optimizing net value in an environmentally sound mannerLead mine planning working meetings, and Mine Plan presentations to customersThorough practical understanding of underground mine operations to ensure mine plan concepts are safe and realisticPreform other duties as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent required 3+ years of post-education mining engineering experience at a site preferredDemonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles and a demonstrated knowledge of US engineering standards and mining regulations required Strong presentation and verbal skills.
