Job Description:

What the Client Is Looking For

ServiceNow platform architecture knowledge spanning applications, data models, integrations, security, scalability, and performance.

Deep IT Service Management (ITSM) knowledge plus working/deep expertise in at least one additional workflow area (e.g., ITOM, CSM, FSM, HRSD, SecOps or GRC).

Ability to review solution designs, advise on platform/product roadmaps, technical governance, platform health, and technical-debt remediation.

Knowledge of CMDB/CSDM, enterprise data flows, integration strategy, and the architectural impact of configuration decisions.

Awareness of Now Assist, AI Agents/agentic workflows, AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI adoption.

Strong customer-facing communication, stakeholder engagement, risk identification, and business-outcome orientation.

Familiarity with ServiceNow Impact accelerators/tooling and ability to connect findings to a platform strategy.

Can independently drive architecture direction on assigned accounts while recognizing when to escalate highly complex decisions.

Influences Platform Owners, Platform Architects, and technical practitioners responsible for day-to-day platform decisions.

Conduct architecture and solution-design reviews for customer and partner work; recommend scalable, secure, maintainable designs.

Guide customers in defining platform strategy, roadmaps, and sequenced workflow adoption aligned to business outcomes.

Advise on data architecture, integration strategy, platform governance, CMDB/CSDM alignment, and technical-debt reduction.

Assess platform health across maintainability, manageability, upgradeability, security, performance, and user experience; prioritize remediation.

Identify and track architectural, technical, and platform-health risks; recommend mitigation before risks become incidents.

Facilitate customer working sessions, architecture reviews, and stakeholder conversations; maintain a forward-looking customer impact narrative.

Collaborate with delivery/Impact Squad members and specialists, escalate complex decisions appropriately, and share reusable knowledge.

Operate independently on assigned accounts, manage deliverables proactively, and escalate beyond-scope architectural challenges to IC5/IC6 peers.

Support peers when called upon and contribute constructively to the PA community; formal practice leadership is not a core IC4 expectation.

Demonstrated ServiceNow architecture/advisory experience appropriate to the assigned IC level; the source profile does not prescribe a minimum number of years.

Experience translating business objectives into platform architecture, roadmap, governance, and adoption recommendations.

Strong ITSM knowledge and expertise in at least one additional ServiceNow workflow; breadth across other workflows is useful.

Ability to communicate architecture trade-offs and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.

Certifications listed in the source profile: CSA, CAD, at least one CIS (two expected across primary/secondary workflows), Data Foundations, ArchX Advanced Architecture, Now Assist Essentials, Now Assist Executive Micro-Certification, and Agentic AI Executive Micro-Certification are required expectations across levels. CTA is expected/in active pursuit; CMA is strongly recommended for IC5+.
