Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Southwood Children's Behavioral Healthcare
A highly visible executive leadership opportunity to lead Southwood Children's Behavioral Healthcare, a premier provider of behavioral health services for children and adolescents in the greater Pittsburgh region. This role provides overall strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for a specialized behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to improving the lives of young people and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Located just south of Pittsburgh, Southwood serves as a critical resource for children, adolescents, and families throughout Western Pennsylvania, offering a continuum of behavioral health services designed to promote healing, resilience, and long-term success.
Leadership Scope & Impact
- Executive oversight of a leading children's behavioral healthcare organization serving children and adolescents across multiple levels of care
- Full accountability for operations, financial performance, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and physician relationships
- Leadership of inpatient and residential behavioral health services, as well as associated clinical and support functions
- Strategic responsibility for growth initiatives, service line development, and community outreach
- Direct leadership of a multidisciplinary executive, clinical, and operational leadership team
- Responsibility for creating a culture centered on patient safety, quality outcomes, engagement, and accountability
Mission & Community Alignment
- Lead an organization dedicated exclusively to serving children, adolescents, and families facing behavioral health challenges
- Advance evidence-based treatment practices and trauma-informed care models
- Serve as a visible leader and advocate for children's behavioral healthcare throughout Western Pennsylvania
- Build and strengthen partnerships with school systems, healthcare providers, referral sources, payors, community agencies, and government stakeholders
- Champion access to care and innovative programming that improves outcomes for youth and families
