- You have a background in heavy civil construction to include excavation, underground utilities, grading, site work, concrete and asphalt paving. (3-6 years).
- someone with a strong background in construction, having progressed from a laborer to a leadership position, and possessing the ability to teach, coach, and mentor all crew members, including equipment operators, laborers, and pipe layers, across various scopes of work
- You're an effective leader who is skilled in managing all aspects of multiple construction projects at a time, including personnel, scheduling, and equipment (3+ years) .
- You're passionate about providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, as well as promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- You have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work well with a wide range of personality types.
- You're proficient with PC Programs and the Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
- You have a valid driver's license, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and have current US Authorization to work, or the ability to obtain prior to start without company assistance.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

- Work with Project Manager/Estimator to develop project schedules and updates.
- Work with or in lieu of the dispatcher to schedule projects, personnel, and equipment. equipment movement and transport schedules.
- Participate in project meetings with contracting agencies and customers.
- Participate as required in pre-bid and post job meetings to evaluate performance and profitability of project to ensure goals are attainable and being met.
- Interface daily with crew to ascertain their needs, problems and job progress.
- Make sure that crew timecards are turned in, coding is correct, equipment and labor hours are recorded accurately.
- Check daily cost sheets for correctness, compliance with estimated cost, and if over budget, find out why and report to project manager.
- Prior to job startup, review with the project manager, project engineer and crew lead the project plans, specifications and review the project startup list to ensure that each item is done, i.e. utility locates, subcontractors coordinated, material ordered etc.
- Assist Estimating by providing feedback on job progress as opposed to as estimated.
- Assist Estimating as available by performing field measurements determining sources.
- Check that job quantities are correct and orders have been submitted.
- Supervise direct reports and other related employees.
- Travel to and from various jobs sites as needed.
- Routinely assist other members of the workforce in different areas of production.

- BALANCE - including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
- VISION - 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions
- HEARING - corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock.
