Certified Surgical Tech

Surg Tech – General/Vascular

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week. Weekend call approximately every fifth weekend, with 1-2 call shifts per week. All call shifts require a 30-minute response time.

Assignment Details: This assignment requires experienced candidates with extensive skills in various surgical areas.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• BLS certification required; CST preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical technology
• Excellent critical thinking and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in surgeries across various specialties, including ortho, neuro, and vascular
• Ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are ready for procedures
• Supporting the surgical team during operations by anticipating their needs
• Maintaining a sterile field and adhering to protocols
• Participating in the training and orientation of new staff
