Job Summary and Responsibilities The 7th Floor Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital is a medical surgical unit where we primarily treat septic patients. Our department has 36 beds, and we see a range of surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis and treat many chronic conditions such as COPD and CHF. We have a great culture focused on teamwork and positivity. Our nurse communication scores have been some of the highest in the hospital. We are an innovative unit, often where hospital-wide projects begin. We are looking for dynamic, hard-working people, who are looking for a strong medical surgical floor. As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) you will be responsible for developing, achieving and maintaining the goals of a unit or department by focusing on the unit or department’s daily operations. Essential functions to the success of this role include: Consistently promote a positive & healthy work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers. Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting initiatives, and ensuring units/departments are appropriately staffed. Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. Daily productivity and expense management and support unit/department manager with budget preparation. Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals. Encourage employee participation in decision through shared governance and support change management. Support professional development to improve employee retention. Job Requirements In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified Assistant Nurse Manager candidates will need the following: 2 years clinical RN experience 6 months - 1 year clinical leadership experience, preferred A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN) Current RN License to practice in state of employment Nursing Specialty Certification: Required to sit for certification within 6 months of hire/transfer Must achieve certification within 2 years of hire/transfer into this role Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Where You'll Work Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center providing a full range of medical specialties and health care services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
