Program Assistant

About the Role The Program Assistant plays an important role in the day-to-day operations of William Tell Elementary School by providing support to classrooms, students, and school programs. This position helps create a positive, organized, and welcoming environment where students can learn and grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a school setting, has strong organizational skills, and wants to make a meaningful impact in Perry County. Key Responsibilities Support teachers and staff with daily classroom and program needs Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, or activities Provide clerical and organizational support, including copying, filing, and data entry Help prepare materials for lessons, activities, and school programs Assist with communication between staff, students, and families as needed Support school events, programs, and activities Maintain confidentiality of student and school information Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned to support school operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children or in a school setting is helpful Strong organizational and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students Positive attitude and willingness to support a team-focused environment Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the school day Ability to assist students and handle classroom materials Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Why Work at William Tell Elementary School?
