Occupational Therapist - School Based

Occupational Therapist – School Based AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the 2025-2026 school year. Requirements: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferred. Illinois Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L). Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures. Must have experience in identifying students with exceptional needs. Successful therapy experience in an educational setting preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel between buildings. BLS/CPR certification. Job Description: Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location – Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset. Contract through the school year – 14 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar. Part-time at two locations. Duties: Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care. Render competent care to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands‑on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further injury. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals. Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed. Document all patient care in accordance with department policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
