We are looking for a self‑driven compassionate Patient Service Representative to join our Marshall Family Practice Clinic. Patient Service Representative: Responsible for obtaining prior authorizations Greets and registers patients presenting to the Clinics Collects copays and balances on current and previous encounters Answers all switchboard calls for the organization Shift: Full‑Time (80 hours every two weeks) Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm This job is ideal for someone who is/has: Excellent customer service Dependable: reliable transportation and positive contact number Good work history Adaptable/flexible: enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Detail‑oriented: establishing an environment that is responsive to patients, guests and employees’ needs Achievement oriented: enjoys taking on challenges Independent: enjoys working with little direction About Our Patient Registration Team The Patient Registration Team at Fitzgibbon Hospital is a very important area within the Revenue Cycle of the organization. Patient Service Representatives are the first faces that all patients and visitors see when they enter the organization and are typically the last faces that are seen before they leave. The Patient Service Representative initiates the electronic encounters for all patients as well. Accuracy is highly important as all Patient Service Representatives have a direct impact on reimbursement. Federal, State, and Private insurances are constantly changing requirements so the team is always learning and adapting to ensure we are positively influencing reimbursement.
