Job Description Medical Director, Occupational Health Department opening near Dayton, OHPosition Overview: Located in Sidney, OH Full Time; PermanantHospital EmployedBoard Eligible/CertifiedSeeking an Occupational Medicine Medical DirectorThe Medical Director will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Infection Control, Employee Health, and other hospital departments.Provide medical oversight for occupational health programs, including pre-employment screenings, immunization programs, surveillance, and injury managementDevelop, implement, and review occupational health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, CDC, state/local laws)Serve as the primary clinical consultant on occupational health matters, including workplace injury, exposure management, and fitness-for-duty evaluationsLead outbreak and exposure investigations in collaboration with Infection ControlProvide medical guidance on disability, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work determinationsOversee medical record documentation and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAAEducate and advise staff on occupational health and safety topicsParticipate in hospital committees related to workplace safety and employee wellnessSupervise and mentor occupational health clinical staffSchedule: Flexible; position can be structured as part-time or full- timeQualifications:Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degreeBoard Certification in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialtyValid Ohio medical licenseExperience in occupational health strongly preferredKnowledge of relevant regulations (OSHA, ADA, DOT, FMLA, etc.)Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance with Employer Contribution to HSA401k plan with employer contributions totaling 4/5% of eligible wagesPTO, days dependent on PT or FTRelocation stipend availableCME StipendAbout the Community:A family focused community with great schools and supportive colleagues.
