Intern

Intern This position will serve as a part-time Intern with the Indiana Office of Behavioral Health. This position provides support in the findings of solutions, establishing best practices, and improving responses at the intersection of behavioral health and the justice system. This role combines administrative responsibilities with a strong emphasis on system improvement, application, and data collection related to trial court operations. This position reports to the State Court Behavioral Health Administrator. A Day in the Life: Provide general administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining a log of activities, and related tasks Assist with judicial Behavioral Health committee meetings by reserving venues and coordinating catering services, preparing meeting materials, including agendas and supporting documents, taking and distributing meeting minutes, and offering technical assistance during meetings Support conferences and speaking engagements by setting up tables and distributing materials, facilitating dialogue and engagement among participants Assist with travel reimbursement processes and documentation Create and maintain office-related templates and forms to streamline operation Conduct in-depth research and analysis on behavioral health issues related to justice system involvement Foster and maintain professional relationships with attorneys, judges, and other stakeholders in the legal and behavioral health fields Represent the organization in cross-sector governmental meetings and collaborative initiatives Prepare education materials and policy summaries to support internal and external stakeholders What You'll Need for Success: Integrity Use tact and diplomacy when dealing with the needs, problems, or concerns of staff, outside agencies, and the public.
