We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Set up and become trained for MRI and CT procedures.

• Spend time in the OR during neurosurgeries.

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia - being proficient in anesthesia is a must!

• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc).

• Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as manual bladder expression, sling walking, range of motion, etc..
• Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values .

• Obtain histories and provide client education.

• Perform IVC placement and venipuncture.

• Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and can troubleshoot errors.

• Restrain patients during consults and during diagnostics.
