Responsibilities Equipment Training: Train to operate heavy trucks, loaders, and related construction equipment Safety Practices: Follow proper safety rules, use protective equipment, and report injuries and hazards Labor Tasks: Complete manual labor duties using hand and power tools for maintenance work Equipment Checks: Learn to perform pre and post‑operation inspections and make basic field adjustments Environmental Duties: Support environmental practices through required training and daily activities Work Awareness: Observe work areas, make adjustments, and report findings in written and oral format Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,347 (before taxes). Qualifications Active Pennsylvania non‑commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required). Active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner’s Permit on the first day of work (required). Active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations by the first day of work (required). Additional Requirements Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Regulations. Physically able to perform essential job functions.
