The Radiation Therapist is responsible for operating LINAC equipment to deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients. This position requires a focus on patient care, including the use of positioning or restraining devices, patient set‑ups, and portal adjustments. The therapist will also assist in tumor localization and dosimetry procedures, perform CT clinical simulation procedures, and maintain a close observation of patients during treatment. Responsibilities Operate LINAC equipment to deliver radiation therapy. Assist in the fabrication of patient positioning devices. Accomplish patient set‑ups and portal adjustments. Participate in tumor localization and dosimetry procedures. Perform CT clinical simulation procedures. Maintain close observation of patients in treatment room. Work with medical personnel to coordinate simulation schedules. Assist in the training of radiation therapy students. Utilize ALARA principles for radiation safety. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum 1 year of experience in radiation therapy. ARRT certification required. BLS certification required. Travel experience preferred. Schedule This is a day shift position, operating on a Monday through Friday schedule with 8‑hour shifts. Actual start and end times may vary.
