Job Title: Heat Treat Operator Job Description The Heat Treat Furnace Operator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the heat treat furnace, which is used to harden and temper steel fasteners. This crucial role ensures the safe operation of equipment and temperature instruments to stabilize the steel for the specific fastener application. Responsibilities Monitor and adjust furnace controls to ensure process requirements are met. Inspect parts before and after heat treating using precision measuring tools and visual inspection techniques. Record and monitor process parameters, including temperature, soak time, cooling cycles, and carbon controller readings. Identify nonconforming parts and complete rejection notices or rework documentation as required. Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure compliance with lot traceability requirements. Support 5S and workplace organization initiatives to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Available Shift & Pay

1. st (7am-3:30pm) - $18.64
2. nd (3pm-11pm) - $18.64 + shift differential
3. rd (11pm-7:30am) - $18.64 + shift differential

Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred. Basic computer skills. Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift 50 pounds on rare occasions, typically lifting 35 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Able to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, technical documents, and customer requirements. Why Work Here? Work Environment Expect to work in a demanding environment near industrial ovens, which can get quite hot. The work involves being on your feet with occasional lifting. Shifts include 1st (7am-3:30pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm), and 3rd (11pm-7:30am), with mandatory overtime. Personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear protection are required, with a $100 annual reimbursement for steel toes. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Frankfort, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38771.20 - $38771.20/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
