Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experienceShift: 1st, Monday through FridayRemote role -  East Coast time zone HIGHLY preferred

What’s a typical day as Product Stewardship Specialist – Packaging & EPR You’ll be:

• Monitoring enterprise and regulatory tracking tools for intelligence on packaging, packaging waste, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) issues.
• Creating and issuing communications summarizing key regulatory requirements and timelines for packaging, packaging waste, and EPR regulations and standards.
• Assisting with packaging, packaging waste, and EPR impact assessments in coordination with the Product Stewardship Emerging Regulations specialist.
• Creating and maintaining global regulatory and compliance trackers and communication decks for leadership updates.
• Monitoring legislative developments and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Actively participating in trade groups, industry associations, task forces, and working groups to support advocacy.
• Supporting the creation of position papers, policy briefs, procedures, and work instructions.
• Supporting compliance assessments, executing action items, and providing subject matter expertise to project teams.
• Supporting packaging data collection, validation, reporting, and audit documentation.
• Evaluating environmental labeling and claims for advocacy and compliance strategies.
• Interfacing with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external partners.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s or advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, regulatory affairs, engineering, packaging, public policy, or related field (preferred).
• Bring 3-5 years of experience in packaging, packaging waste, EPR, product stewardship, environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related area (preferred).
• Have experience monitoring regulatory developments, assessing business impacts, and maintaining compliance trackers.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory topics into clear summaries, leadership updates, and training materials.
• Have experience in medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer health, or other highly regulated industries (preferred).
