About this role:

As a General/Non Invasive Cardiologist you’ll work with 1 other Non-Invasive Cardiologist, 2 Interventional Cardiologists, and 1 Electrophysiologist, to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Here are some highlights you can expect

• One BC/BE non-invasive cardiologist is being recruited to join our group at Cedar City Heart Clinic in Cedar City, UT.
\n
• Practice currently has one physician and two advanced practice providers.
\n
• Call would be 1 weekend every 2 months done at the hospital in St. George, and 1 weeknight call about every 2 weeks
\n
• Southwest Cardiology in St. George, Utah on 30 minutes away is comprised of a growing team of invasive, noninvasive, EP, Heart Failure, advanced imaging, and structural heart specialists, as well as a robust cardiothoracic surgery program.

• Physician will share in a reading rotation with this group.
\n

How we'll support you:

Compensation : Our competitive compensation consists of a base salary of $718,000 . Additionally, there is up to $100,000 of quality bonuses available in year 2. We are also offering a $30,000 starting bonus . A relocation bonus is also available if applicable.

What you’ll bring:

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
\n
• Residency trained and Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
\n
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
\n
• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
\n
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
\n
• Candidate requiring visa sponsorship will be reviewed on an individual basis
\n
• Will consider new fellows
\n
• Ability to perform TEEs and read Nuc, Echo
\n

Life in Cedar City, Utah

The population of Cedar City is approximately 40,000. The area has recently experienced major population growth, and the trend is expected to continue. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery and is the gateway to the nation’s largest concentration of national parks. Recreational activities for the entire family include camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing and mountain biking. There is a moderate four-season climate, and during winter months residents can ski in the morning and play golf in nearby communities in the afternoon. Educational opportunities are available through Utah Tech University and Southern Utah University (SUU). Summer activities include the Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespeare Festival, recipient of the Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre.
