Registered Respiratory Therapist

Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 19-week travel assignment in Marietta, Georgia. Provides advanced respiratory care, ventilator management, and airway procedures to adult patients across ICU, ED, and step-down units. Works 12-hour night shifts and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory care to adult patients throughout the hospital, including ventilator management and airway procedures.
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring adherence to facility protocols and physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, especially in high-acuity areas such as ICU, ED, and step-down units.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system (EPIC), maintaining compliance with hospital policies.
• Assist with department education and training on equipment and protocols, supporting the high level of autonomy and teamwork culture.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and RRT certification required.
• At least 1 year of relevant respiratory therapy experience required.
• Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the facility.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Strong mechanical ventilator management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously.
• Physical ability to handle department equipment and patient care tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
