Senior Software Engineer (Partial Telework) ***An active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is REQUIRED. Please do not apply if you currently do not possess this level of clearance.*** GliaCell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems for a large government contract. The Work Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices‑based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies. Duties Writing Java Spring Boot–based micro‑service applications utilizing AWS native technologies. Utilizing Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2, and S3. Building REST services with Spring capable of filtering and selecting complex data objects. Implementing CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab, and GitOps. Agile development and delivery of software. Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders. Key Requirements Possess an active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7 years). Professional/Education experience: 9 years with a bachelor’s degree, or 7 years with a master’s degree. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Experience with Python (Lambdas, Step Functions). CI/CD principles (Maven, GitOps). Required Skills (3 of the below) Experience with AWS tool suite such as OSS, DynamoDB, Lambdas, and CloudWatch. NoSQL database: MongoDB or DynamoDB query and schema design. Test frameworks and automation including Cypress and Cucumber. Location Annapolis Junction, MD / Partial Telework (2 days per week expected). Telework granted after acclimation and when meaningful work can be performed remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time. Salary Range The salary range for this full‑time position is $170,000 to $230,000, determined by position, level, skills, experience, education, and certifications. Sign‑on bonus eligible.
