Description

The Warehouse Clerk receives, verifies, records, stores, and issues materials that support ReadyOne Industries operations. The role maintains accurate inventory and receiving records in Epicor, coordinates inspection and documentation requirements, fulfills production material requests, and supports outbound shipments. Success requires accurate transactions, safe material handling, organized storage, timely communication, and consistent compliance with warehouse controls.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Unload or assist with unloading inbound shipments safely and verify item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Document shortages, overages, damage, or other receiving discrepancies and communicate them promptly to Purchasing and other designated stakeholders.
• Obtain, verify, and file Certificates of Conformance and other required receiving or traceability documentation for applicable materials.
• Enter receipts, line releases, transfers, and other assigned inventory transactions accurately and timely in Epicor.
• Coordinate with Quality Control Incoming after receipt processing; identify materials requiring inspection and prevent release or put-away until required acceptance steps are complete.
• Put away accepted sundries, fabrics, and other materials in assigned warehouse locations and complete the corresponding Epicor transactions.
• Monitor Epicor pick-list requests, stage and issue requested materials to production, and record transfers from warehouse locations to the appropriate production areas.
• Perform cycle counts and routine sundries audits; research basic variances, report shortages or discrepancies, and support corrective inventory adjustments through authorized processes.
• Maintain organized, labeled, safe, and accessible storage locations in accordance with the approved warehouse floor plan, material-identification requirements, and housekeeping standards.
• Track inventory assigned to special projects from receipt through release and maintain complete supporting documentation.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, cart, or other authorized material-handling equipment to move and stage materials after completing required training and authorization.
• Support outbound and subcontract shipments by confirming quantities and preparing or compiling weight, dimensions, pallet, return, and other required shipping information for the Shipping Manager.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, inventory controls, quality requirements, and continuous-improvement practices, and perform other related duties consistent with the role.

Reporting Structure

The Warehouse Clerk reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. The role works closely with Purchasing, Quality Control Incoming, Production Supervisors, Accounts Payable, Shipping, and other Supply Chain personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

• Prior experience in receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory control, material handling, or a related environment is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred; current certification or the ability to complete company-required training and authorization is required before independent operation.
• Working knowledge of Epicor or a comparable ERP or warehouse management system for receiving, inventory, transfer, and pick-list transactions is preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, data entry, and warehouse documentation.
• Ability to compare documents and materials accurately, perform basic mathematics, maintain organized records, and communicate discrepancies promptly.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment and coordinate effectively across departments.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for extended periods, potentially for most of an eight-hour shift, and frequently bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
• Regularly handle cartons, rolls, packages, records, and material-handling equipment and perform computer-based data entry.
• Regularly lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds; use approved equipment or team-lift procedures for heavier or awkward materials.
• Safely operate around forklifts, palletized goods, racks, and other warehouse equipment while using required personal protective equipment.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in warehouse and manufacturing areas, with regular workstation time for Epicor transactions and documentation. The environment may include moving equipment, palletized materials, noise, dust, and temperature variation. Required safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be followed.

FLSA Status

Non-Exempt. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable law. Employees must accurately record all time worked and obtain advance approval for overtime when required by policy; all hours worked must be reported and will be paid.
